Assigned as Senior Software Distribution Engineer. Primary responsibilities include Project Implementation and acting as the Technical Lead for the Software Distribution team and acting as a liaison between the Desktop and Software Packaging Teams. Managed multiple environments simultaneously (Production, Labs, POC, ATM and Training) and implemented multiple projects (Managed XP Deployment, MultiBank, TD Integration, Regional Imaging, ZSM 6 to ZSM 7 Implementations, etc.).


Responsible for creation, replication and distribution of all Application Objects for Back Office environment (roughly 2,300), as well as the Branch environment (roughly 400). Responsible for roughly 12,000 workstations across 65 Back Office locations and 1,160 Branch locations, as well as another 2, 500 workstations in our Labs, Training sites and Development environments. Maintained four core Production Distributors and Two Ancillary Distributors for deploying all software to the Managed Enterprise.


Trained new members of the Software Distribution Team on usage of ZENWorks and ZSM (Application Objects, Distributions, Channels and Channel Times), ensured compliance with approved guidelines. Worked with the Desktop Team Leads to develop managed patching schedule and implement core component upgrades. Assisted in creation of managed, quarterly Image Release Schedules and Builds to accommodate new components and upgraded core software. Worked with the Software Packaging Team Leads and assisted in training of new Packagers, development of core standards, process and procedures for the group. Also assisted with package remediation and troubleshooting for software that did not meet our criteria during packaging.


Created and maintained all documentation for Software Versioning, Upgrade Schedules, Software Deployment Scheduling, Automated Processes, Application Object Retirement, Application Object Standardization, and ATM Deployment.

Senior Desktop/Systems Engineer Technical Lead


Assigned as Senior Desktop/Systems Engineer. Primary responsibilities included Project Management, Project Implementation, Technical Lead for the Desktop and Help Desk Teams. Managed multiple projects simultaneously, including Windows 2000 Deployment, ZenWorks 2, 3, 4 Implementations, Citrix Metaframe Upgrade and McAfee's E-Policy Orchestrator.


Responsible for maintaining and standardizing over 1500 desktops in four national locations. This included distribution of OS patches, modifications to the base image and the creation and implementation of a modular methodology for desktop images. Created and maintained over 500 Application Objects for software deployment. Served as a Technical Lead on all projects ZenWorks and Novell related. Assisted networking team with Active Directory planning and implementation.


Solely responsible for E-Policy Orchestrator implementation, upgrades and maintenance. Over ninety percent coverage within one hour of DAT deployment.


Developed methodology for automating software deployments nationally, as well as image standardization, and implemented it utilizing Zen for Servers.

Implemented ZenWorks 4 nationally. Trained onsite administrators and provided onsite support during initial deployment. Prepared and distributed site-specific software from a central location.


Solely responsible for all Novell and ZenWorks related documentation. Also responsible for all appropriate documentation relating to Application Objects and deployed software.

Responsible for maintaining and standardizing over 5000 desktops and 100 servers nationally utilizing automated and scripted software deployments. This included distributing OS patches (both desktop and server), modifications to the base image and the creation of a modular methodology for desktop images. Created and standardized a software testing methodology utilized globally. Developed methodology for automating software deployments globally and implemented utilizing Zen for Servers.


Implemented ZenWorks 3.0 nationally. Trained onsite administrators and provided onsite support during initial deployment. Prepared and distributed site-specific software from a central location. Utilized multiple tools for software distribution including; ZenWorks, Picturetaker, Prism Deploy, Sysdiff and Scriptit. Developed a standard image for and provided wireless connectivity solutions for Compaq iPAQ Sales deployment. Standardized software for the devices and built an image, provided secure wireless connectivity to proprietary applications housed in Camden and wrote end user documentation.

Assigned as WinInstall Implementation Project Manager. Planned and implemented Enterprise wide WinLand and WinInstall procedure for a user base of five thousand. Modified user login scripts to add scan agents necessary for WinLand database, implemented multiple collection sites for data collection and set standards for each site regarding WinInstall package deployment.


Customized deployment packages created for all common user applications, patches and testing.
